COLIN BAKER TV GUEST APPEARANCES

Over the years Colin has made guest appearances on countless TV programmes as himself - usually being interviewed - and here we pilot our own TARDIS and set the controls for yesteryear to discover just when and where Colin has popped up on our screens. 

In 2003 Colin found himself a guest on the BBC's motoring show Top Gear.  In a fun sci-fi challenge,  Colin found himself pitted around the race track in a time lap against Darth Vader,  a Cyberman,  Ming The Merciless,  a Klingon and a Dalek (!).     Colin came fourth - the Cyberman won...

"Fourth place ?   Better than a Doctor Who poll anyway."

 

Nineteen years earlier in 1984,  Colin and Peter Davison popped in for a chat with the late Russell Harty.

 

During his 1991 tour of the musical 'Privates On Parade',   Colin guested on This Morning to talk with Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan about his role as the drag queen Terri Dennis in the show.   He also performed the song "Danke Schon" in character as Marlene Dietrich...

When Colin was announced as the new Doctor back in 1983,   the press gathered to interview him at the photocall including the BBC News.  Yes, Doctor Who was still big news in the 1980's...
