THE LIGHT AT THE END (Standard
Edition)
November 23rd 1963 proves to be a
significant day in the lives of all eight
Doctors
It's the day that Bob Dovie's life is
ripped apart
It's also a day that sets in motion a
catastrophic chain of events which forces
the first eight incarnations of the
Doctor to fight for their very existence.
As a mysterious, insidious chaos unfolds
within the TARDIS, the barriers of time
break apart
From suburban England through war-torn
alien landscapes and into a deadly,
artificial dimension, all these Doctors
and their companions must struggle
against the power of an unfathomable,
alien technology.
From the very beginning, it is clear that
the Master is somehow involved. By the
end, for the Doctors, there may only be
darkness.

(1987-89) and Paul McGann (1996). Current
Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat is
joined by actors from Doctor Who's

SIXTH
DOCTOR EBOOK: SOMETHING BORROWED
05.06.2013
Bestselling
American fantasy author Richelle Mead has
been announced as the author of the sixth
exclusive Doctor Who ebook short
from Puffin. Her short story, called Something
Borrowed, features the
Sixth Doctor and Peri:
A wedding on the planet Koturia turns
out to be a far more dangerous
proposition than the Sixth Doctor and
Peri ever expected. It marks the return
of a formidable old foe whose genius
matches the Doctors. Can the Doctor
outwit this villain, save Peri and stop
the wedding in time?
Richelle
Mead commented: "Ive always
loved watching Colin Baker as the Doctor.
When hes on the screen, you
cant take your off eyes off of him
- and no, Im not just talking about
his infamous wardrobe! Everything him
about is larger than life: his
personality, his ingenuity, his biting
humour. Hes one of the darker of
the Doctors, and yet through it all, that
heroism and need to do whats right
never fails. Thats what makes him
so fascinating to me. Its an
authors dream to be able to write
with a character like that."
Richelle Mead is best known for her urban
fantasy series: Vampire Academy, Georgina
Kincaid, and Dark Swan. Originally from
Michigan, she now lives in Seattle,
Washington with her family, and is
working on Vampire Academy spin-off,
Bloodlines.
Something Borrowed follows on from short
stories by Eoin Colfer, Michael Scott,
Marcus Sedgwick, Philip Reeve and Patrick
Ness. A paperback anthology of the eleven
eshorts, The Doctor Who Collection: 50th
Anniversary will publish, alongside the
final eshort featuring the Eleventh
Doctor, on 23 November 2013. The ebook
will be available to download from June
23. You can pre-order from Amazon (UK

SIXTH DOCTOR: 1984 - 1986: COLIN
BAKER
Never understated, the Sixth Doctor was
an explosion of colours, words and
emotions. Passionate, sometimes quick to
anger, this was a Doctor you did not want
to make enemies with. He tangled with the
corporate greed of the slimy Sil, took
H.G. Wells on a trip to a strange world
of Morlox and time machines, and defeated
the amoral Gallifreyan scientist known
only as the Rani. Once again, the
Doctors interference in the affairs
of other worlds resulted in a trial by
his own people, and his own darker side,
The Valeyard who stood
to gain all his remaining incarnations.
After uncovering the Valeyards
schemes, all charges were dropped, and
the Doctor and Mel headed off in the
TARDIS.

"I'm the Doctor.
Im a Time Lord. I'm from the planet
Gallifrey in the constellation of
Kasterborous. And I'm the man whos
going to save your life."
He's made a mark on almost every era of

"Doctor Who?"
This is the story of an impossible life
of a man who borrowed a spaceship,
travelled through time and continually
saved the universe - as told by the
Doctor's friends, by his enemies, and by
the man himself. Letters, journals, trial
records, secret government files and the
occasional bit of tabloid journalism
reveal the never-before-told story of
Gallifrey's last Time Lord.

12.05.2013
A
look back at the Sixth Doctor battling
the Cybermen in a new article by Doctor Who
TV.
Attack of the Cybermen
Retrospective
Back in the 80s, this story was the
poster child along with Vengeance on
Varos and The Two Doctors for being
too-violent. This and other factors
started a chain of events that would
ultimately cancel Doctor Who until its
brief resurrection in 1996. However, this
story, if given the chance, is actually
one of the better episodes. Lets
see why This might sound
outlandish, but this was my first Classic
Doctor Who story and indeed, became one
of my favorites for so many reasons.
Actually, this IS my favorite Classic!
Its up there, topping Castrovalva,
Black Orchid and Ghost Light. It
introduced me to Colin Bakers
Doctor, who was so radically different to
David Tennants that I wondered if I
was indeed watching the same show.
Colins portrayal was loud, jerk-ass
and so egotistical. How could I not love
him? This story alone made Baker my
favorite Doctor and I wouldnt even
be born for another five years!
Colin

latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine,

OF THE DOCTOR #6
24.04.2013

Go have released the finalised artwork
for the sixth Destiny Of The Doctor
audio adventure, the series that is part
of the 50th anniversary celebrations this
year.
Trouble in Paradise, which will
be released on CD and as a download in
June, stars Colin Baker as the Sixth
Doctor and Nicola Bryant as companion
Peri.
Responding to a desperate summons
from the Doctor's future self, he and
Peri find themselves on a sailing ship in
1492, where the crewmen are gripped by
superstitious fear. They say the Devil
walks among them, stalking and striking
them down. Even though they have landed
in paradise, they fear that 'El Diablo'
himself will drag them over the edge of
the world and into the depths of hell.
When the Doctor and Peri meet the captain
of the ship, they both discover that
heroes can sometimes behave
un-heroically. Peri's reaction leads her
into deep water, and soon the Doctor
fears not only for her life but also for
the existence of the ship, the paradise
island, and the Universe itself.
Celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who, a

DOCTOR
WHO TV: 50TH ANNIVERSARY
RETROSPECTIVE
24.04.2013
An
interesting, and comprehensive,
retrospective on the Sixth Doctor by the
fantastic Who site Doctor Who
TV.
John
Hussey continues his monthly
retrospective, this time looking at the
6th Doctor, Colin Baker.
The Sixth Doctor showcased one of the
biggest character changes within the
Doctors lifespan. The darkness
within the Time Lord really started to
show from his sixth incarnation onwards.
The Sixth Doctor was very angry, moody
and full of arrogance, sometimes becoming
almost full of himself. His adventurous
side still remained but it seemed during
his earlier life he was more selfish,
especially when it came to decision
making. He would often decide he knew
what Peri Brown wanted out of her travels
and basically told her where she wanted
to go instead of asking her.

Doctor
Who: Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and
Paul McGann confirm anniversary special
non-involvement
Shooting
on the 50th special is currently under
way in Britain - but the three actors are
10,000 miles away, in Australia
Former Doctor Who stars Colin Baker,
Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann have
revealed that they definitely wont
be appearing in the BBC sci-fi
dramas upcoming 50th anniversary
episode, largely because they're
currently in the wrong hemisphere.
The anniversary special is being filmed
in this country as we speak, but seeing
as the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Doctors
are all in Australia attending sci-fi
conventions at the moment, they
wont be able to take part.
The three actors appeared today on the
Australian chat-show Mornings and, during
a discussion about Doctor Who, put paid
to the idea that they might yet appear in
the anniversary episode.
